Painting is what I have always wanted to do in life. After 30 years in Corporate America, I realized that art was just another form of risk-taking, not so different from any other occupation. If I had not taken this risk, I would never know if I could be successful in my passion of painting and living my dream. My artwork is simplistic and focuses on Southern Culture. Being a native of South Carolina, I am drawn to the history and beauty this state has to offer. My travels through the Deep South have inspired the series, “ A Tribute to Carolina Cotton”. Driving by cotton fields and viewing the beauty and simplicity is my inspiration. When people see my work, I would like them to see the story being told. I hope, the quirkiness of my subjects will draw you in and keep you engaged.
